Illustration Friday: ALONE
Alone. Pen on paper/Digital.
It's so weird but this is how I've always felt whenever I am sad or depressed. When I drew this, I felt alone... as if I were kept in a glass case and trapped to meet my demise.
The girl in my illustration is trapped in the whirlpool of her emotions. She is sad and feels caged in her misery.

Oh this is neat.. I like the heavy Graphic feel to it!
Weird. I thought she was happy. I see a smile and the colors are swirly bright. Really great that you have an illustration that can be seen many ways.
That's a good observation..
Frankly, i wasn't thinking of the emotions conveyed by the colors when i painted the illustration in photoshop.. (although the thought nagged me) I just wanted to use warmer colors (must be because i was happy when i painted them.. LOL). I tried using more blues and blacks but it had a different "feel" to it..
